SARAI HAS BEEN ADOPTED!
This is Sarai, our most recent rescue from the County that had been confiscated with 8 other horses. She was the worst of the 9, not able to get to any food, had a deep puncture wound that wasn't being cared for and she was ready to die.
Sarai is a spirited, 22 year old sorrel Thoroughbred mare that bears a tatto in her upper lip which means she was off of the racetrack. Sarai would be a great pasture buddy or pasture ornament for your green yard! She ties, bathes & stands great for the farrier!
After putting on more weight and conditioning, she might be able to do light trail riding at the walk & trot.
This is Sarai before, you can see her wound oozing with infection.
This is Sarai after treatment. The wound is totally healed and she is putting weight on!
Before, you can distinctly see her ribs underneath her furry coat that she did not shed because of her malnourishment along with her scars and wounds from the other horses.
Her coat is all shed out & glossy and her wounds are totally healed!
